A family's beloved pet chimpanzee is secretly used as a test subject for an experimental drug by the father, a scientist hoping to cure his ailing wife. When the treatment goes wrong, the once-gentle primate turns feral and violent, trapping the family inside their isolated home and forcing them to fight for survival against a creature that used to be part of the family.
